I am a Pennsylvania native with a passion for sustainable food systems and cultivating community. I’ve spent a portion of my professional life promoting local foods (including coordinating the Buy Fresh Buy Local® Pennsylvania brand) and supporting the farmers who grow it, through my work at the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA); as a board member of the Friends & Farmers Co-op in State College, PA; and volunteering for numerous local farms and community food initiatives, like the 2014 Boston Fermentation Festival and 2015 State College Food System Summit.
Before dedicating my life to the Good Food movement, I lived and worked in Philadelphia, London, and Boston, cultivating community within the music industry and higher education. Read more about my journey on the Good Food Jobs blog.
When I’m not farm hopping, you might find me organizing pantries, reading books about food and farming, pickling veggies, hiking PA’s beautiful trails, cooking up food puns.
You’ll pick me out of a crowd as the girl with the carrot tattoo, representing my deep-rooted commitment to real food. (And I really like carrots.)
